Glenn joined VAN as Executive Director in March 2015, and he leverages a unique set of skills and experience that serve him well as a convener and facilitator. His 35-year career spans the business, nonprofit, government, and faith-based sectors with collaboration as a common thread. Whether as a manager of technology teams, a co-founder of JOIN advocating for the houseless, a government liaison supporting economic development in Oregon’s “green/clean” industries, or in his current role, Glenn seeks to organize and inspire others to work together for the common good.
Outside of work, he is ever curious and dabbles in a variety of activities that include singing, sailing, rock climbing, yoga, mixology, and men’s groups. He is fortunate to have two grown daughters nearby, and he watches them with joy and concern as they navigate their lives. His housemate is a cat.
Director of Development and Community Partnerships
Ally joined VAN in 2022, bringing her passion for community development and a belief in the power of storytelling to shift mindsets towards real action and authentic connection. She is a strategist, fundraiser, and community builder with a 20+ year career that spans the arts, nonprofit, government, and political sectors. She joined VAN because she wants to help build community that is rooted in equity and prioritizes a diverse mix of voices, where everyone can reach their full potential.
Ally’s work and home life often intersect, as she is a natural connection facilitator and believes in showing up for our land, community, and animals. When she isn’t working, Ally can be found hiking and camping with her family and friends alongside her new husky puppy. She is a lover of old growth trees, music, art, coffee, books, and all things food.
